In the fall of 2023, our club experienced remarkable growth, expanding from a modest group of 10 to a thriving community of 30 members. Witnessing our club members learn the intricacies of assembling components to construct functional robots was truly inspiring. Through hands-on experience, they mastered the basics of soldering and electronic assembly, laying the foundation for their journey in robotics.
Led by Joe Bernal, the hexapod project emerged as a highlight of the semester. Joe's leadership, coupled with his dedication to sourcing parts and fostering teamwork, brought the project to life. Together, we embarked on a memorable journey, uniting our efforts to successfully complete the project and create lasting memories.
Each member of our club poured their time and energy into the project, resulting in rave reviews from our team. Beyond building robots, we cultivated a community of diverse individuals who evolved into close friends. What began as a gathering of strangers united in a shared learning experience blossomed into a supportive network of friends, navigating life's adventures together.
As many of our members prepare to transition to universities, they carry with them the legacy of InnovateX. Despite parting ways, they remain integral parts of our club's story.
Throughout our journey, we recognized the importance of outreach and community engagement. Visiting local organizations and schools, we sparked curiosity and inspired others to embrace learning. As we pursue higher education, we are committed to paying it forward, drawing inspiration from the next generation of STEM enthusiasts as we strive to become the best professionals we can be. Together, we continue to learn, grow, and shape the future of STEM.
